Land Allocation

Land Allocation

Over the recent years, Karmiel has become a central city in the Galilee. Below is a list of all tenders for the allocation of commercial land in the industrial zone for factories and for the high-tech industry.

  • As part of its land allocation activities, the Corporation invites developers from around the country to visit the city and appreciate its many advantages: a young, skilled workforce trained at the Ort Braude Technology College and in other academic facilities in the region.
  • A highly-developed network of roads and railways: Karmiel is located at a major crossroads - 45km from Haifa, 30km from the Krayot area, 20km from Acre and 40km from Tiberias. A broad, fast network connects the city to Haifa and to the Tel Aviv corridor, including Highway 6 which is expected to reach Achihud intersection, and an express railway line linking Karmiel with central Israel.
Future plans indicate that the railway would reach the industrial zone with a designated freight terminal.
The Industry Park already houses more than 200 factories and workshops offering products and services for export and for the domestic market.
The industrial zone is at the top of the City's priorities and gets consistent attention from the City leaders.

Karmiel is classified as Priority Area A, which means plants established within city limits are entitled to special benefits under the Capital Investment Promotion Act - such as tax breaks and investment grants.

Leading Israeli companies have chosen Karmiel as their home, including high-tech companies:

  • Elbit Systems
  • Opgal
  • Matas Aviation Components
  • USR
Alongside advanced industrial companies which have been operating in the city for many years:
  • Keter Plastic
  • Strauss-Elite Group
  • Trellidor
  • Klil
  • Technion Global
